WHNP Frontier Nursing

Nursing Students Online Learning

Hello all,

I am getting all of my information ready to apply for the March deadline for Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Frontier Nursing. Any insight would be GREAT!!!

I have obtained my BSN on line and the on line schools work better in my life! Just trying to make the right decision.

Thanks

I am truly interested in applying to this school this fall for their WHNP or CNW program. Were you accepted? Who did you get to do your references?

I have not been excepted yet (:nailbiting:.my fingers are crossed). I will not hear until the end of April. I applied for the WHNP program. I know 2 women that have completed the program 5-7 years ago and they were happy with the program. I know someone right now waiting to hear about the CNW program she applied for, and another nurse taking pre recs to apply.

The people I asked for references are an NP of a women's clinic of the hospital that I am employed. I have known her for over 15 years. I cared for her daughter in labor. The other person I got was my nurse manager. The last person is a nurse I have worked with for over 10 years and she is now the clinical educator. I was going to ask one of the girls that graduated from the program, but I have not worked with them in a while.

Good luck!! Go for it!!!!!

Any new updates? I applied for the WHNP class 142.

No updates here. I did just speak to someone that just got back from frontier bound and she said it was a GREAT experience!

Specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner.

I am in the process of getting my packet together for the WHNP program. I am getting my letters back, a former instructor who is a NP, my nurse manager for my maternity job, and a coworker with a MSN. I finished my essays, ordered transcripts. I will apply to other programs but this is the one I really want!! I questioned being marketable but if I worked in family practice I would not be following my heart. Is it normal to be more nervous than applying to undergrad nursing school? Best of luck to everyone. If you have any advice please share.
