Hello all, I am new to all nurses and just graduated nursing school and passed my boards the last two weeks. I was accepted to the online RN to BSN program at ECU in Greenville, NC for this coming fall and was wondering if anyone else has done the RN to BSN there or is starting this fall also? It would be great to make some new connections and I'd love to hear peoples experiences. I chose to go ahead and follow up and finish my BSN since I already had the pre-reqs, so I am going to work while I finish the BSN portion because a lot of hospitals in my area are pushing towards having your BSN and I wanted to finally finish out a bachelors degree. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

So they accepted you prior to you passing your boards? I was just wondering because I will be graduating this May and wanted to start there in August, but wasn't sure if I could apply before taking boards. How has your experience with the program been?

I just realized I never came back to update... I was accepted into the RN to BSN program at ECU my last semester of nursing school in my ADN program, as long as all pre-reqs were complete and I passed my NCLEX and obviously passed nursing school. At the time I graduated my ADN program May of 2012, passed my NCLEX the end of May 2012. Started as a new Grad in Raleigh in the ER at UNC Rex Hospital in July of 2012. Then started the ECU RN to BSN Program full-time August of 2012, I graduated the program in July of 2013. It was a very good program, it def. taught me some things that helped me while being a new grad in the ER. I am finally in the process of applying to grad school after almost 5 years of ER experience. I spent 3 of those years at Rex and then chose to begin travel nursing, which has been an amazing experience. If anyone has any questions about ECU, let me know! I highly recommend the program =)!

Hey matthew i was looking to go the same patb as you. I graduate in december with my ASN and currently work med surg as a tech. I want to start rn-bsn or an rn-msn program as soon as possible. On the application for ECU did you just fill it out like you already graduated and had your RN license?
