    Hello agldragon
I'm in the process of studying to take my CPNE in July. I have been working in the mental health and drug addiction rehabilitation for almost 9 years and just wanted to give you some advise on the xanax. It is a Benzodiazepine, which could slow your alertness and it could be addictive if it is mis-used. (I'm sorry to be forward but is my nursing side that is talking) I will recomend you to stick with deep breathing and other relaxation techniques. Good luck in your exam and keep practicing your AOC and labs. You will pass!!!

Xanax is very helpful. I recommend you take it prior to the CPNE to see how it affects you. It makes me calmer and helps me concentrate. I got my RX after I bombed my CPNE. Also, take the week before the CPNE off, if possible. I didn't and was so tired when I got there. Have someone else drive you. I was also tired from driving myself. Mom is driving this time. Of course, three days in a hotel room with peace, quiet, and a boatload of paperback novels had nothing to do with her decision to drive me

Above all else, know your critical elements inside and outside and asleep. Take section H out of the study guide and practice writing care plans. Submit care plans to Dr. A at EC for critique. Know how to document - examples are in every section of the Critical elements part of the study guide.

Just my advice, I have learned an expensive lesson by not being properly prepared, even though I thought I was. Also, others failed for these reasons when I was there.
