I'm taking Pharmacology Calculations (NUR 101 for 1 credit) with ccconline.org right now. All I can say is "WOW", I have learned so much and there is still one unit to go! I just wanted to let you all know that this is a great course to take if you are waiting to get into a nursing program, worried about math in nursing programs, or need extra help. I just love figuring dosage calculations:) I was never big on math, but I sure like this.

I think I paid $137 for the course. I even bought the textbook off ebay for $20.

Hi there! Ok, call me stupid but is this a different course from the Pharmacology that you have to take for your RN degree? I am really worried about Pharmacology because I've heard such horror stories about it? I didn't know if the class you are talking about is kind of like an intro to Pharm. Glad you like it!

No, this is a course that you do have to take for an RN degree (some schools combine it with Pharmacology and some do not). It's not about learning the different types of drugs, it's all about dosage calculations. You learn dosages on pills, syringes, IV's etc. We are using the book, "Math for Meds by Anna Curren. A great book even if you don't take the course.
