Accelerated BSN program- Marian University

Nursing Students Online Learning

I don't have the greatest GPA and have been taking classes to raise it as well as looking into schools I can get into. I currently have my bachelors in Biology and so I am looking at accelerated programs. Marian University does not look like it is extremely difficult to get into, and they have been communicating with me extensively. Does anyone know anything about their program? I think a lot of it is online, so I am very skeptical. Any help would be great, as well as any suggestions for any other schools that accept with more experience and not as high of a GPA.

Hi Kball359,

Did you end up appyling to Marian? I am about to graduate with my Bachelors. I applied for Fall 2012 semester. I am nervous because I don't graduate until August 4th, and the program starts August 6th. I find out this week. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you was that I have been deciding to go to Marian now for almost a year. I am very happy with the way the advisors communicate. I also went to an open house not long ago that they had, at the clinical site. I really enjoyed what I heard from them. I know it will be tough, but I only graduated with around a 2.94 and I know their minimum is a 2.8. If you really want to be a nurse, you will do good in your studies, knowing you have to to get accepted. I think Marian is a great program, with an amazing pass rate, and time is money for me. That is why I am choosing Marian, bc I can be done in 16 months. As long as your GPA is 2.8 or higher I would say you will be fine!
