Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hi All!

I wonder if anyone had an experience like mine. I currently work as a tech in a hospital. I previously worked as a nursing student intern in a hospital (I moved and therefore had to change jobs). I recently submitted applications for a nursing intern position, and received a call back from a recruiter, who left a message for me on Friday.

I returned her call that day, and left a message. Today, Monday, I also called and left a message, and heard nothing back. I'm feeling anxious because this happened once before, and I literally never got a hold of the recruited, and therefore never got the job. It's an excellent opportunity I'd love to be truly considered for.

Anyone else have this happen? Any suggestions on a low key not aggressive way to reach her appropriately? I considered calling the main HR number and leaving a message wth an actual person, or looking up her email. She only provided her phone number in the message so I'm hesitant to be too forward.

I had similar experience, now it's been five days. I called back within 5 minutes (call came out of state, and I work overnight, so I was sleeping) left message, called the following day - heard nothing back. I don't understand recruiter's behavior.

Maybe they are from the same company ? :)

It seems to be a pattern! I still ended up frustrated. It took three business days to get a hold of her. They filled the position I wanted. They did offer me to interview for another position, which I did get, but dang it I really wanted that first one!
