Hello! I will be having my panel interview tom for CETN...do you have any tips because I'm really nervous. I'm not a graduate of MMC. Is it certain that after CETN the trainees will be immediately on proBationary?

Hi Adrian, when did u pass ur requirements for CETN? I inquired in MMC last month and they dont accept applicants for CETN 'till Sept 15.

@adrianerinaRN

It's more of an oral exam rather than an interview. :) The questions will be based on the core competencies of nursing, so you better brush up on those topics.

Finishing the program is not a sure ticket to being employed at MMC. If you want to be a staff nurse there, you have to apply as one. Be aware though that they prioritize their graduates so it will be a tough competition for applicants like you.

Good luck.

Thank you for that info...do you know anyone there who works as a staff but not as a graduate of MMC? Hopefully they will accept graduates of other schools. Although I'm a graduate of one of the Top 10 performing Nursing Uni/Colleges I believe that i should not rely on that. hayy...anyways I'll be praying for a better opportunity. I'm tired of giving free service and paying huge amount just for training. sad.pngsad.pngsad.pngheart_broken.png

@adrianerinaRN

I have an aunt there working as a nurse and she's not one of their graduates. I'm sure there are many of them :)

Just do good on your training and prove to them that you are a cut above the rest. Your evaluation on the training would be very helpful when you apply there as a staff nurse.

are they currently accepting resumes?

I don't know if they are currently accepting resumes...try to call their training office.

After the physical examination, how many days will you wait to go there and ff up if you are cleared or you need further PE/ repeat some of the PE?

Or do we need to wait again for their text message if we are already cleared?

Thank You :)

congratulations to makati medical center... they are now jci accredited along with st. lukes, medical city and chong hua hospital...

is makati medical center currently accepting resumes?? thanks

nope. they just recently closed sometime around last week.

If it helps...

I'm actually a graduate of MMC-College of Nursing, batch 2011. Now, here's their system for hiring (for those who are curious)

They had just opened their CETN program last Jan. 6.

First to be called are the study grants (like scholarship but they have their years of service to serve in MMC) and the ones who graduated with Latin honors.

Then those who passed early. Again, they will check your credentials. From what I know, they are strict about the board rating since they are already accredited with the NEW JCI Accreditation guidelines. I think they are hiring only those who have a rating of 80% above.

As of now, they are once again closed. One of my classmates tried to pass their resume, but the training office said they were close DESPITE OF THEM BEING GRADUATES OF MMC-COLLEGE OF NURSING.

As for my experience, I submitted my resume Jan 9, took the qualifying exam on Jan 11 and got interviewed Jan 13. I'm already done with my PE and will start the CETN program late Feb or early March (at least that was what they said)

The training also informed us that they will open again mid-year, however, I am just not sure if it is also open for outsiders.

There. I hope it helps! :up:
