I was just wondering if any one has received a response from SLMC GC about the schedule of PGNT1 for batch 2? I already have submitted my requirements and I have paid the initial training fee just recently but I haven't received any text message yet about the schedule of the training. I am just a bit worried because I received a call from a number I don't recognize on Friday about 5:30 AM and I wasn't able to answer it. SLMC told me that the training will probably start last Friday but then again I haven't received any text message from them. I hope the number is not theirs and that the training will start soon. :|

i'll do this too!haha. thanks! :)

Hehe. Good luck on your application guys! :)

Hi :)

I read in another forum that SLMC-GC is strict when it comes to height and BMI. Is it true? Is the 5ft2in rule both for female and male? I'm only 5ft1/2in but I really want to try applying in this institution.

Hello Nurses! I just want to clarify that leaving your application to the guard at the employee's entrance or submitting it directly to the HR office does not really make any difference at all. One way is not really faster than the other. It's totally the same thing bcoz before the day ends, the guard will forward all applications to the HR office. Regarding the height requirement (of 5'2"), I don't think this is really true, based from my experience. Since PGNT started up to the current batch, I've not heard such specific requirement. Though the BMI is yet another case. During the medical exam prior to ISF & NSET, they really check your BMI and as much as possible they encourage everyone to stay within a normal BMI. For those who would not meet the BMI requirement, SLMC would give time for them to somehow shed some weight first. I know this may sound harsh but I guess SLMC just wants to hire people at their optimum health as much as possible. Anyway, goodluck to all applicants! God Bless.

I heard about this too. I read a blog where in the blogger finished PGNT but was not "absorbed" due to her height.

I just heard about the height 5ft2in in a forum and there were people who said that it's one of the things SLMC looks when hiring a nurse. They said that there are people who were able to train but not hired because they're not within the required height. I don't know if it's true so I went here to ask.

Anyway, thanks for the reply ^^)

Hi tmbbong! I just went there with my friend and clarified the height requirement. Ma'am *** from the HR told us that there is NO height requirement as long as you can perform well. The BMI though is another issue since they are really requiring their nurses to be within the normal BMI

To those who had their interview and received a list of requirements, what is the status of your application? Are you in or rather you are yet to be deliberated?

Colleagues, is there anyone here who is already confirmed for PGNT Batch 9?

when will be the next schedule of the PGNT in St. Luke's Global because I am planning to pass my resume this week..:)

will they have it in September or October?

Just a friendly reminder for all the people who are interested to have their training in SLMC:

SLMC do have bond of 3years once you are hired there. For the height requirement, I believe it is an issue. I don't know with SLMC-GC but in SLMC-QC it is being considered (I know someone from the training dept. staff).

Some of the ideas, I have gathered about working in SLMC. A friend of mine who underwent the training in GC didn't pursue working there after the 3months training as she doesn't want to be bonded for 3 years. Any opportunities might come anytime within the 3 years. You should consider that before applying there. Plus, I have heard the exposure in some areas don't provide a competent experience. In some of the suites there will barely have few patients. Census of 5 versus 3-6 staff nurses? Sometimes they do experience 0 patient (in some areas). Then, last, you should consider the idea of working with high-class people. Some are demanding patients/doctors (experienced by my friend in QC). You don't want to put yourself in the midst of the training/job and you wanted to resign because of pressure/demand from other people. I am just saying this as far as I have experience, i will rather serve in public hospitals than stay in an environment that demands too much from you. I hope you are getting what I mean. I know a Nurse should be versatile but we have different choices or consideration about it. :))

Is it normal or possible for a OB GYN nurse to have a shift on Sunday from 2PM-10 PM, and then have a shift Monday from 2PM-10PM? When do nurses usually receive their schedules?
