World Canada

Hello fellow colleagues,

Am a nurse with over 7 years experience in this

profession, I want to relocate to Edmonton but

it is so difficult to find a job. I was so

discouraged; I have 5 years experience

working in Med/Surg. I have applied to

over 40 positions with Alberta Healt Services

for the past 6 months with only one interview.

I thought that Canada was short of nurses.

It is so discouraging after gaining all these

experiences and education and to having

such a hard time finding a job. I've been told

that my résumé is impressive but still

haven't found a job. I would really like to relocate to

Alberta but now am thinking such think else where

but don't want to be paying every year for 3-4 provincial

nursing permits.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

If you read some of the threads you will see that things for nurses in Alberta is very tough

Some small communities in Canada are short of experienced nurses and are accepting travel nurses for short term contracts.
