Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program--Apply by March 30th

the nursing education loan repayment program (nelrp) application opened on january 25, 2006. the nelrp, authorized by section 846 of the public health service act, is posted on the health resources and services administration, u.s. department of health and human services (hrsa/hhs) web site.

the nelrp repays up to 85% of an rn's outstanding student loans in return for full-time employment in a facility determined to have a critical nursing shortage (critical service facility): nursing homes, hospitals, departments of public health, etc. the application and all required documentation must be submitted no later than 5 pm et, march 30, 2006.
