PIH health pay and benefits

Nurses Career Support

Published

I'm considering a nursing position at PIH. I was informed that the hospital is a non-union facility. It seems like it treats its employees well and provides a nice place to work, but without the union I'm wondering how raises work? Are raises given annually like unionized hospitals? I would be leaving a unionized facility that is also a great place to work and don't want to negatively impact my earning potential. Any nurses who work at pih and would like to share their feelings on how they like the hospital and how they feel about the compensation would be appreciated

Many facilities that do not have unions have frozen pay and raises. They are merit based only. I haven't seen an across the board pay in a few years. Some have cut wages and benefits. My opinion? Stay at the union facility during these hard economic times.
