I'm at a loss here. I have worked as an lpn since 2010. I am having trouble finding a job that will hire me i feel its due to having misdemeanor marijuana charges. yet at my last job i never had any issues with a shortage on my narcs, no trouble tending to my patients, charting properly etc. meaning to say i have worked since the charges which occured in 2011. I lost my last job which i did enjoy because my oldest daughter was raped by her older half brother under the supervision of her father an the company i worked for has a no excused absence policy needless to say her father couldnt take her to forensic interview, dr , investigation and the numerous court dates so they let me go. I have had no help with the situation an no one seems to want to even give me a chance although I have obviously already proven myself. I have had some interviews but when they hear the truth its a hands down sorry. I used to smoke not anymore this charge occurred right after my grandmother died in feb of 2011 i had a nervous breakdown lost 80lbs in 4 days and would not eat my grandma was basically my mother. anyone have any advice. Help plz in TN

Hi Promyce,

I'm not sure of the statutes in your state, but have you considered going to your local courthouse to get your record expunged? Although the board of health may still be able to see it, you can try that route.

In tn they say you can only get 1 mis or 1 fel expunged and no criminal history other than that charge. Thought about trying anyway at least just to see
