LPN or Ultrasound tech?

Looking into becoming either a lpn or a sonographer. I am 19 and honestly I don't know much about either but I have been looking online about the two. I know ultrasound tech makes more money then a lpn but not sure which to choose to go to school for.. someone help! p.s I live in New York.

definitely US(sonographer) tech of your 2 choices. LPN's are mostly phased out of hospital settings. Also there are areas of US you can specialize in like echocardiography sonographers (echo tech) and specialized areas typically get paid more then general US. I work with echo techs at my hospital and they make more the general US and RN's. I might also be a little biased as i love cardiology but its worth a look. Also something worth noting in any field you want to go into, look it to the demand for new grads in your area. If the market is flooded you will not find a job easily.

good luck,

Joe

Look at the need for each profession in your state. The state I live in, sonographers have a harder time finding jobs than LPNs just because its a very competitive market.
