Hello All! Happy New Year!

So I just went on a job shadow after an interview. I emailed them back clearly saying I would love to work there. The interviewer just replied saying "Thank you, im glad you enjoyed it!" and....that's it!!!! juat one sentence! I already kind of gave up, but my friend is saying as long as they didn't clearly reject me, I still have a chance. I think my friend is in denial. Do you think it's a nicer way to say goodbye to me?

You need to give it some time before you conclude that you were not hired. They may have given a couple of applicants the opportunity to shadow and will choose one to hire only after all of the candidates have shadowed. Don't read so much into that one comment. If the decision has not been made yet, there was nothing else the interviewer COULD say.

Good luck to you.

Thank you llg! I think you are right. I will give it a few more days. I was just too nervous and anxious! I asked my interviewer what should i expect to happen the next...and he hasn't replied ever since. I didn't want to ask because I think it might be too pushy, but my friends were all saying I have the right to know my hiring status. I kinda regret that I asked him now. But really, thank you for your words, I will keep my hope up until they clearly tell me no!
