I found a link on one of the other posts about the different paths in nursing. I have always though I wanted to end up in the realm of surgery. I found a path about Forensic Psychiatric Nursing and am intrigued. I am wanting to know if there are currently any nurses on here that are either currently in this field or have worked in this field that could give me more information on what all the job entails. I have looked up information on the internet and it just keeps saying what type of patients you will see. I haven't found what all the nurse actually does. Like is it just talking "counseling" the patient or exams like rape kits or what all goes on. I am all over the internet looking for this. Also what type of degree does it take. Can an RN do it or do I need to get a BSN? Thank you SO much for the info!!!
