Can you become a nurse in Florida/Georgia, if you have a felony for driving

I recieved a conviction for driving on a suspended license in Florida...

I am in school now for nursing and I was wondering if this conviction would prevent me from completing my education and becoming a registered nurse?

I currently live in Florida and my intention is to move to Georgia once I have completed my education.

But I would be happy to move to any state that would allow me to practice as a nurse.

Thank you

I was in a similiar situation before I graduated and had to hire an attorney to have it "exponged". It's gonna be hard to practice anywhere with a felony. It was well worth the $700 i had to pay!!! Good luck!!

You'll have to explain a felony to the BON of whatever state you decide to get licensed in before they will approve your license, I do believe. My feeling is that the best thing you can do is to get a lawyer who is experienced in going before state boards and having at least a consult. Good luck to you!
