ADN program ?'s

I am a registered radiologic technologist and registered ultrasound technologist and I am considering applying to nursing school. There is a new program in my area offered through a technical school that is a 2 year ADN program. What are the benefits and/or disadvantages of these programs? I have over 10 years of experience in the medical field in everything from OR, ER/trauma, cardiac cath lab, and ultrasound so it would not be like I was starting from scratch with no medical background. The other advantage from my point of view is that a lot of my credits would transfer to the nursing program, which will decrease my time in taking the core type classes. But, I would like the point of view of people in the field as to what the thoughts are on these programs. Thanks in advance!
