Help with Selection Criteria.

Hi everyone!

My name is Sharelle, I am an almost graduate Enrolled Nurse from Tasmania. I realise it is probably rude for my first ever post to be one that asks for help, but i'm a bit desperate.... :confused:

So here goes....for the final assessment in my Diploma we are required to submit a Proffesional Portfollio and the selection criteria has got me terrified! I have completed everything else required - resume, applicatiion letter, applicable certfificates etc, it;s just when I get to the selection criteria it seems so big and scary that I just seem to procrastinate (washing all of sudden need to be hung out, vaccuming needs to be done, facebook needs to be checked etc lol).

So any hints or suggestions would be hugely appreciated, or any book reccomendations or websites that offer advice??

Hi i currently work in the disability industry as an AIN and want to apply for an AIN job at the local hospital. But am struggling with writing the selection criteria that goes with it. I am currently studying thd EEN diploma amd finish june next year hence why i want to get my foot in the door at the hospital. Any help would be much appreciated.

Selection criteria-

Sc1- demonstrated begining knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and the ability to seek assistance to appropriately manage patient-centred care requirments under the direction of the registered nurse.

Sc2- demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively across the health conti uum supporting positive organisational behaviours and relationships.

Sc3- demonstated self management and self organisational skills including problem solving skills and professional engahement in change management to achieve organidational goals

Sc4- demonstrated begining knowledge of information management tools including demonstrated ability to usr patient and staff information systems appropriate to the position

Sc5- maintains a professional development profile and facilitstes an environemny that ebcoursges life long learning, mentoring and support for colleagues

Sc6- commitment to quality and safety processess and evudence-infirmed practises.

can someone please help me with my selection criteria

Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).

Holds a Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification in medicines administration, including satisfactory completion of the subject "Administer and monitor intravenous medication in the nursing environment."

Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders

Supports working in a person centred environment

Current professional practice knowledge base

Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems

Knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Enrolled Nurse in applying these principles.

I am an newly qualified EN and this job is for transition to practice EN
