Texas doctors determined to walkout

Despite pleas from a lawmaker, Brownsville, Texas, physician Dr. Lorenzo R. Pelly says he will participate in a planned walkout by area doctors next week to draw attention to rising medical malpractice premiums.

Hi Karen. I wonder if those NPs and therapists who provide direct care are facing the same dilemma with increasing malpractice costs? What are some examples of frivolous lawsuits and what are the primary reasons that patients go through with filing them? If fiestynurse or other nurses knowledgeable in this area are around, would like your feedback as well.
