Take Action with NSAT and the ANA

Nurses Activism

Published

Although I am disillusioned with Nursing, I still try and hope things will change. Feel free to take a look.FROM "http://www.rnaction.org/site/PageServer?pagename=nstat_homepage&autologin=true" "Help Fight For Nurses In The 112th Congress!*Over the coming weeks and months, Congress will be addressing rising the nation's debt ceiling. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has publicly declared that the U.S. government will default on its $14.4 trillion debt by Aug. 2 unless an agreement is reached by the House and Senate and signed by President Obama.* Cuts are being proposed to Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security as part of a $4 billion deficit reduction plan.* Additionally, details of the fiscal year 2012 budget will need to be hammered out.* Proposed cuts within the FY 2012 budget would have a detrimental effect on important nursing programs, including Community Health Centers, the Nursing Workforce Development Programs and Health Professions Programs (Title VIII) and the National Institute of Health (NIH), which includes the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR). These drastic cuts would only exacerbate the current nursing workforce shortage (HA WHAT SHORTAGE!!) and put even more pressure on the role of nurses in the health care system. This is just the beginning of what is sure to be a long, protracted debate on budget issues this Congress. ANA urges you to stayed tuned and take action!"

No one gives a care about nurses. Not even other nurses! Women are so hungry for power and prestege it's easy to pay one a little more money to keep the others in line. There was a poll recently that stated nursing was the most trusted profession. I thought poor suckers , they just do not know how evil , hateful and deceptive some nurses are. My mom told me , once upon a time policemen were the most trusted profession.......
