Nurses Recovery

Published

I am a participant in Florida's IPN program. I am on the down hill slide of 5 years and needless to say can't wait to be done. I don't go in and check my test results because quite frankly, what is the sense if you didn't do anything. I logged onto the Affinity site to print off my past year test results for another license I am applying for and the test I did last Thursday, Oct 5 is posted as "partial test result" and the next column says "processing" I always thought these tests posted pretty quick. Does anyone have any idea what this means? Thanks for any input.

When I have had blood test(PEth) and any other special panels, it will say "partial test result" before resulting in negative. Affinity has resulted my blood test was abnormal/or dilute and I had a test result say invalid........... I called Mary the drug specialist and they corrected the results to negative.

I never got an explanation, other then they made a mistake.

I worry when I see junk like that even though I know I did nothing wrong because they work off off the "guilty until proven innocent" and proving innocence seems to cost more money. Also I've seen where people that have had perfect compliance all the way through and are nearing the end suddenly have some dilute or abnormal or what have you and wind up being forced into some kind of "ready to complete evaluation" aka another money grab. I swear if that happens to me, I will whip out the lawyer again. I would rather pay for that than give this program any more money than I have already had to.

I too have noticed that people nearing the end of the program with seemingly perfect compliance seemed to get tripped on some nit-picky nonsense towards the end. I'm not talking about a failed screening but messing up paperwork (even if the error was years old), a "pattern" of dilute urines (even if the nurse was unknowing of this problem), and therapist recommendations (imaging a rehab guru saying you need to spill more cash on the rehab industry). The whole system is disgusting

i'm 5 months away from getting out of IPN for a 5 yr contract. only 1 dilute which was the 2nd test when i first started in 2013. Only 2 missed checkins. no other issues. What can i expect when it's time to get out. i know you have to write a letter. other than that i don't know. i've heard others say more tests other than the urine screen and another eval.... which is A OK with me, i just want to save the money for it. i'm on a very tight budget. any one know?

My time comes, I am not doing another evaluation. Given that they've been up in my business for so.many years, there's nothing to evaluate or test for. As far as a letter, they might not want to hear what I've got to say because that piece of paper will probably burst into flames.

I have no problem playing the lawyer card (again) if necessary.

I simply cannot imagine what another "evaluation's" purpose would be after years of treatment and after care except to squeeze more money out of a nurse
