I was informed by the board that of I have one more dilute sample I will be called before the board. I still breast feed my baby and drink about 1 gallon of water per day. Has anyone had this problem? Don't want to quite breastfeeding but my milk has already almost dried up on me 3 times. Appreciate your feedback.

The best think I can tell you is on days you have to test go early in the morning. Call in just after midnight and go in as soon as the lab opens and before you start drinking a lot of water. or just don't drink water for about two hours before you g for your test - you can make up the intake afterwards.

Another suggestion is to explain the situation to your PCP and see if he will order a 24hour Urine collection to test what your specific gravity is over 24 hours. Make sure the BON will accept the test first.

I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. I never even thought to call after midnight. I would generally call around 5am when I woke up then wouldn't drink but sometime that wasn't the cAse. Always went first thing in the morning around 9am to 11. I will ask about the 24 hour urine. What a great idea.

In florida IPN you can't call in until 4am. I stopped having dilutes when I drank protien shakes and increase my protein intake before testing. Instead of a drinking water, I will have a high protein meal and drink protein shakes before testing and nothing for the hour before testing.

Good luck

All the information above is correct I went 1 step further to insure no more dilutes you can buy chem strips check your urine yourself on the days you are picked before you go test then do not drink anything until you test then you can drink all you need just after you test.
