How long will I wait to hear from BON

Nurses Recovery

I am currently into the second year of my license restriction due to narcotic diversion. I have sent in my paperwork to begin drug testing and the required meeting slip. I am curious how long it took some of you to hear back once you submitted your paperwork. It has been almost a month. A little background on me. I worked in a neuro/telemetry unit and after about a year began diverting pain medication. I have had 6 knee surgeries and built up tolerance and was not being treated to my liking at the time and diverted meds out of pyxis. I was off work for 3 months and my first day back was confronted about this with 5 or 6 different disciplines in the same room. That was the beginning of the end and a brand new start. I owned up to what I had done and the hospital didn't press any charges on me but were only concerned with getting me help. I had a woman from HR come and help call different rehabs to help me get into one. Long story short, I was admitted, completed inpatient and have a little over 15 months today clean. I am ready to begin the next chapter of this discipline and would like to hear of the experience of others in the area. I am hoping to hear from the BON soon so I can move forward with everything in the hopes of getting my license back and get back to my passion.

What state are you each is different

Ohio. That's what I figured, that they were all different but it's been almost a month. Just getting impatient. I guess I am at their mercy. My 2 yr suspension will be up before I can get the year long process of drug testing done.

In Texas we have to test from start to finish on drug testing 1-4 times a month for length of contract

I mean how long was it before you heard from the board once you submitted your paperwork to begin drug testing? I haven't started it yet.

Ty have to sign your contract then they will tel you how to set up you drug testing acct. ,The information is in packet sent with contract.
