HELP!! LVN with stipulations needs help finding a job.....

Nurses Recovery

Published

I am an LVN with stipulations and I am having no luck in finding a job, I am not an addict nor am I an alcoholic, I was in a bad situation at that time in my life and had an ex bf that was an alcoholic and a user and well I am in this situation because of my stupidity and kind heartedness I have not seen or heard from him since then but the past is still haunting me due to me being on these stipulations because of him, I am not just blaming him I also know it is my fault for being so vulnerable and stupid...... I have moved on and now have a bf of 3 years who is also a nurse and is very loving and supporting.

I have been looking for a job now for several months in SA and the surrounding areas and have had no luck at all, it seems as soon as I disclose that I have stipulations they cut me off right there, no questions asked about the stipulations just interview over......I am currently receiving government assistance because I am unable to provide for my children due to this horrible situation I am in......:( Please if anyone knows of any employers who are willing to hire an LVN w/ stips let me know.

@ Sallyrnrrt I sent you a test email let me know if you received it! Thanks a bunch!

To be judged without knowing the situation is very hurtful.... thank you for listening

If you are referring to my conjecture about your story, there was no judgement involved. Since your original post was so vague, I merely suggested what the truth might be, based on a common scenario, i.e. drug diversion for another person whom you are enabling.

Catmom :paw:

Not referring to your statement.....just meaning " in general" but yea I should have explained the situation in more detail on my first post.

@anxious Sally idk why but I was just thinking about your situation while getting ready this morning. I was wondering if you were still in contact with your ex? If he cares for you in the least bit he would fess up and say that it was his. I have known people to do this and the accused was free to go. Just thought I might throw that out there.

Do you think that would help with the BON? I have not spoke to him, but when this happened he told me he would do what he can to help me...

I can't give you answers, but I'm thinking if you have criminal charges against you dropped then what does the BON have against you? Have you also thought about getting a hair test?

How nice of you, Sally!!

I'm new to this site as well hoping I can get support in finding a job in San Antonio area. Like I previously mentioned I've applied to ltc facilities and dialysis centers but no luck yet. I've been applying for two months had three interviews. I am a good nurse always have been never had issues with jobs before of course till now. According to my board order I can't work specialty areas or home health or temp agencies. And then I have the narcotics stips.the last interview I had the don made me feel like I had the job told me about the hiring process wat floor u would be working and even said he understood all about stipulations. He said if I didnt hear from then in 4 das to call him, he still needed to check if the company allowed nurses with stips. I called bak he said he wud get backbro me he hadnt checked and its been 3 weeks. Im wiling ro learn dialysis or doctors offices I just wanted get back to doing what I love to do. And move forward. I wana get into an RN program but I wana wait for this nightmare to be over.
