I've just begun job hunting after entering recovery and getting involved with PHMP. I'm not sure when and how to reveal to potential employers that I'm involved in the PA VRP. I'm not sure if I should just disclose it right up front or wait until I feel is a good time, or some one told me to wait until I'm offered a job and then disclose that I'm in recovery. Any advice would be greately appreciated. Thanks!:)

Do you really want to wait until after the job offer and then tell them? That would look like you were being deceptive, wouldn't it? So, you lied to them , or didn't tell them the truth through the whole interview process. Would you want to begin a job with something like this? They would have this in their mind from then on,,, how you looked at them with a straight face and never told them the very bigges issue in your life/career right now.

I would think, as a manager, that you would rather lie to someone than take care of your own recovery and staying sober is not really important to you. And, I would find a way to get rid of you, eventually.

I hope that you will search these posts, there is so much written on the subject of interviewing and job hunting. When to tell them, that's a huge issue. There is a lot of experience doing just that with someof the poster's here. I personally have written several posts on this very subject.
