Retaking Nclex - CA after 5 years

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a thread that could help me answer my question but as of this moment I still couldnt find one.

Does anyone know if I can still use my file/record with the California Boards after 5years for reataking the Nclex? or do i need to go thru the whole process again? I took the exam in 2008 and didnt pass. Now Im planning to take it next year.

Any information would be so much appreciated! TA

We're here in Texas. I guess i really have to make up my mind to where i would want to apply.

There's been a few kababayans that have gotten jobs there recently, not sure of their locations, but suspect more rural areas? Read of how many have gotten recent jobs (or within the last year) in CA in these forums.

There's a pretty good thread on how to apply in TX step-by-step and cost and time line.

Yes, there's a lot of kababayans working here as nurses. Most of them took NCLEX CA and just had there license endorsed. Lucky for them the application back then was not as complicated as it is today.
