hi guys!!

anyone here who could give me some advise about taking the toefl exam. Im actually applying for my eligibility for RN NCLEX exam (BON Nevada). so far im still waiting for my CES report and have sent my application @BON NEVADA. While waiting for my CES I decided to take the toefl exam. I actually had it yesterday and I dont think I will hit the required score for the speaking section which is 26+. The other sections were easy. Now, Im planning to take the toefl exam again. But what if I failed again? I want to take ielts but I dont know if they would accept it?

Please give me some advise guys I wanna take the nclex exam as soon as possible but I this english requirement makes the process uneasy.. I still have to review for the exam but I cant start unless this one is settled.

Have you read the specific instructions from the NV BON website? There's usually another section like the other US BON's just for international or foreign grads and nurses and in that section, it will spell what English proficiency exams are required.

If IELTS is accepted or mentioned, then great, go for it, if not, then, there's probably an alternate English testing exam. If you don't want to try that alternate, then, simply write (e-mail) or call the BON itself and get your answer there. Make sure you get a name of the person you spoke with.

But hopefully, you'll have passed the TOEFL and can move on. Good luck.

I have downloaded their specific instructions and they've mentioned TOEFL and PTE exam. I think I have to choose PTE then if things won't go my way. I just thought that maybe IELTS is acceptable because a lot of forums here mentioned TOEFL/IELTS as a prerequisite of their application for eligibility.
