Experienced NP desiring VA job

Hello, I am looking for VA NPs help. I have been an NP for 8.5 years all within a Texas Dept Criminal Justice in patient hospital. I have applied for a Home based Geri position with the VA clinic in Lubbock, TX. I am very nervous. Any suggestions? The closing date is tomorrow.

should I also apply for other VA NP positions in other cities for a back up plan? Does it hurt your chances if you apply for more that one VA position at the same time?

I am a Nurse Practitioner in St Louis and applied for the VA primary care clinic here in town. Received a tentative offer on Jan 9th and have finished Vetpro, background, physical, etc. I got an email saying my credentialing was finished but should I be concerned if I have not heard anything else in a few weeks. I'm assuming once one has made it this far the chances of not getting an official offer are very slim, correct? How long did it take you to get the "official" offer from the tentative offer date? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
