Our children's hospital currently has openings for NP's in the Peds ICU's. This is in Northern California. 12-hour rotating shifts. The salary is posted as $111,800 to 203,400 annually. The position is not represented by the nursing union so I don't know how overtime, holiday pay and such are determined.

Wow thanks for the response, it's very interesting! I'm not sure what to make of it though since NoCal is such an anomaly with high nursing compensation. And the fact that the low-high range for that position spans $100,000 difference! I imagine the high pay for most crit care PNP around the country is the low 100,000's.

Basically I'm concerned about the low pay of pediatric nurse practitioners (but that is often primary care), and wondered if crit care (or any inpatient) PNP is compensated more closely with neonatal or adult crit care.
