BSN or diploma for NP??

Hi. I am deciding on whether to go to a diploma program oriented with a hospital OR go to a university that offers a BSN porgram. I already have a BS with a wealth of biology classes under my belt. After I get my RN, I will practice for a year or so THEN I am going to get an NP degree. It appears that the schools who offer the NP program ask as a prereq. that you have a BSN. The diploma program is good with great clinical experience, but it appears the BSN program will get me into the higher level NP program down the road. THAT is what I want to do... NP. Which way should I go?? BSN or diploma??
