Hi guys so I'm a practical nurse in long term care and I love what I do. I recently had an evaluation with a supervisor who discussed with me that I should work on being a more effective leader. I guessed this was my weak point. I work with 3-5 unregulated health care workers on shift. I'm 23 and sometimes find it difficult to delegate to staff who are for the most part much older and have worked at the facility much longer than I. I understand that communication is so critical to resident care. How do I communicate with staff effectively and be a better leader?
