Hi all!

I just received a verbal offer for a medsurg position at st. alexius. I am really excited about this hospital, but I am from california. Does anyone know how bismarck is for new nurses? especially housing? work environment? i am trying to keep housing 600 or under a month...hopefully with a garage to put the car cuz im pretty sure cars dont work if they sit out in -12 degrees wheather, just guessing since i'm from cali!, is this possible (im single so dont have kids or anything)? THANK YOU in advance!

also, i've heard different things about an offer letter, i havent received one but should i ask (nicely) that they send one before I accept? my dad really thinks i should. any advice?

@haba89 thanks so much for advice and good luck to you as well hope to see you around

Will they look at your application even if you do not have a ND lisence? Should you be endorsed before applying or will they conditionally hire you assuming you will be endorsed after position is offered?

You do not need a ND license to get a job. It only takes a week or two to get a temp license here as long as you are already licensed in another state.

Hi all! I have also just been offered a job at St. Alexius, on the Medical-Oncology floor. The crazy thing was they didn't even interview me, they just called and offered me the job. Two of my classmates are already working there and I think they gave me glowing reviews. I'll be looking for an apartment as well. I'll probably be there mid to end October.
