What does the job outlook look like in Fayetteville?

I am currently going to relocate to Fayetteville because my boyfriend is in the military. I have applied to jobs at Cape Fear Valley and Womack Army Medical center with zero response. I have 2.5 years of experience on med/surg and cardiac/tele. Where else can I look? Any thoughts? Ideas? Anything is appreciated. Thank you! Happy New Years!

Specializes in orthopedic/trauma, Informatics, diabetes.

I have heard it can take a long time to hear from the hospitals. Betsy Johnson (Harnett Health-maybe) hospital is in Dunn, which I don't think is too far from you. I did a clinical rotation there and I liked it. I am going to apply for a job there, too (grad May '12). I think it depends on where you live, but Johnston Health in Smithfield is not that far either. They are supposed to building anew facility in Lillington, too, so the area is growing.

I would contact a recruiter at Cape Fear. I know there are lots of openings so I would give someone a call to follow up on your application.

I can't give any advice on Womack (as they don't hire new grads, which I am) but you might contact HR. Spectrum Healthcare also does contracting with Womack. I don't know if they have openings now but you can Google the company.

Good luck! :)
