Wake Forest area?

U.S.A. North Carolina

Hi NC nurses and nursing students!

I currently live in So. Cal. and am starting my pre reqs to apply to nursing school. My hope was to finish up school here in CA and then hubbs and I relocate with our 3 kids somewhere where our kids will have a future of actually renting or buying a house in a nice area (so. cal living is expensive!!!). I have been doing research and Wake Forest is beautiful!!! If we end up relocating to Wake Forest, where should I apply to RN School that is in commutable distance to Wake Forest? UNC and/or Duke? Is Chapel Hill far away?

Are there community colleges around Wake Forest where I could finish my pre reqs?

Any other advice appreciated!! How are the schools? I've got a 7 month old, 4 year old and a 7 year old.

p.s. I should add that I am currently obtaining my CNA. I should be done next month and hopefully get certified here in CA to be a CNA. So hopefully I can do that out in NC while attending school...

Thanks!!!

Hey there, I live in Wake Forest. Wake Tech Community College is about 20 mins. away and they offer an RN program. Vance-Granville Community College is a bit further but they offer an RN program, an LPN program, and an LPN-RN bridge program. There is also an MCI in Raleigh that offers a 1-year LPN program.

Best of luck to you in your nursing adventure!
