San Jacinto College ADN Spring 2011?!

Today is September 4th and the application for the Spring 2011 ADN program for San Jacinto College should have been available on the 1st, but it isn't. I can't find any forums on anyone applying, nor can I find anything in a Google search, so I'm going into panic mode a little since it is the semester I've been set on applying for. Am I out of the loop on something, or are they just behind schedule? I'd like to hope it is the latter. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I have a heart attack! :)

I just check the San Jac website. There is a link on the Nursing Page that says "ADN Application Packet." I believe you would have to print it out and hand in to the school or mail it.

I'm not applying for Spring - so I'm not your compition - :) no worries - but I am curious what your stats are like. Prereq GPA, overall GPA, and HESI A2 scores. Thanks!

Well my overall GPA including pre reqs is a 4.0. I decided not to apply this semester though, because I wouldn't have micro or college alg until December and the app was due on the first, although I have As in both currently. I wasn't prepared for the new requirements and score chart since my bf got in last semester with only his SAT score, which mine is a 1200. I just figured my scores wouldn't be competetive even if I did well on the hesi so I didn't even take it, so no scores for you there. I'm just going to apply to a BSN program because I really was just unlucky with the timing for my application. But my bf is at san jac in the adn program currently and he received an 85 on the hesi and had a 3.8 overall gpa. Not sure about pre req gpa but he had all As minus micro. I think its most important that your gpa is high in your pre reqs and sciences and that your hesi is at least a mid b. A lot of factors go into the acceptance, so don't fret over one thing or another and do your best. Just make sure you have the 5 classes before you apply that you get points for, otherwise youll be in my boat. Those will really boost your total score, even if you have a b in one or two.

its just confusing - I have a lot of friends that went through sjc adn and they all said they look at your prereq mostly...so idk...i have all A's and B's in my prereq, but i'm worried that since i failed out of remedial math 4 years ago - and never retook the class - although i passed algebra with an A - that it will hurt my chances because it really hurt my GPA...i think i'm just going to retake that class in the spring. i took the HESI and got a 92% - average in my group was a 77! - I was irritated because sooo many people scored like a 74% that they made an exception and let them apply anyway! I missed Mondays deadline...

Has anyone received their acceptance or denial email from San Jac yet for the Spring 2011?

I'm anxiously awaiting. They said they will be emailing them within 2-3 weeks after the application end date, which was Nov 1st.
