Cost of living

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

I'm currently in NJ and can't get ahead with cost of living here. Waiting for last kid to finish High School next year and then getting out of this state. Looking into the Carolina's, I have a few years Med/Surg(Oncology) exp. What's the average pay rate for RN's with experience and what are the best hospitals to work? What is the patient ratio like in your state?

Any help is appriecated

RNs start off around 18-21 per hour, so based on what they start off in NJ you might be able to make an assessment of what an RN with experience would make in NC.

Well the best hospitals by my definition ones like UNC Hospitals, WakeMed, Wake Forest...Larger cities, more profitable...

PCMH is good in the east.
