Anyone have experience at PCMH..good or bad?

I am interviewing at PCMH next week. So far the reviews of this facility here have been mixed. I realize there are benefits and drawbacks at any facility but I would greatly appreciate any input about PCMH...good or bad. I am hoping to get a position in L&D and have two years experience. I've had several bad experiences with the two facilities if have worked in previously. One due to unproffessional staff and the other to horrendous staffing shortages. I am hoping to finally find a place that's a good "fit".

Worked in the Nicu there for a few years, loved it.

Moved to the coast for family reasons, and have regretted it ever since.

How was the interview Sandwitch? Did you take the job?

Thanks for asking LittleWing....I had a strange experience with the whole process at Pitt....lol....I saw an L&D position posted so I applied and they contected me the next day about my online application. We scheduled an interview and I went. Well the interview went okay but I wasnt really sure I wanted to work that far from home. When I left they said they would contact me in 24-48 hours to let me know if i was offered the position. About a week went by and I still had'nt heard anything so I called HR to ask. She said that there were no available positions and I was being placed on a waiting list which would take a while for an opening to be available. Hmmmm....well I know for a fact the nurse manager said she had a full time and several part time openings. So...I guess I wasnt chosen for any position. Also HR had been incredibly friendly and helpful up to that point, but when she told me about the waiting list I asked about other positions and she said everything mother/baby, PP, PICU/Nicu were not hiring...I just kept getting conflicting info. Hope all is well with you and you are enjoying your job! I did get a prn position at a small facility closer to home...for now that suits me fine! BTW...my stepdaughter is an RT at Pitt and loves it there!
