What baby catches you every time?

I always have a soft spot for trached kids or Neuro kids. I always swear I am not going to primary or associate nurse another one because they can literally suck the life out of you, but I can never resist for long. My one friend loves gut kids, especially the short gut ones. Another one always wants the drug kids. She has the patience of a saint!

The best assignment is 2 big fat heart babies! Give me a D-TOGV with a balloon septostomy at the bedside and/or a nice left heart on pressors.

I recently took care of an endocardiofibroelastosis with some severe AS, which has been a very interesting learning experience. The sicker the better for me.

I'm a sucker for an orphan (i.e, the babies that have little or no parental presence due to Children's Aid seizure, mom in ICU, or parents too far away to visit often).

I love the micropreemies. 500grammer? Yes pls! Bring on the vasopressor drips, sugar issues, etc. They're such fighters for being so tiny.

Agreed! Someone else can have them when they're big and grunty, but I LOVE taking care of the micro dots :) we have a 300ish gram baby now that just blows my mind. Crazy how someone so small can fight so hard!
