Hi everyone! After 8 months of being a cardiac tele nurse, this was my first week orienting to our hospital's level 3 NICU! I'm really loving it so far, but I'm having some trouble keeping straight all of the normal values and practices, and even though I only graduated nursing school a year ago, I feel like I don't always understand what the other NICU nurses are talking about.
I'm so determined to do well in this job, as being a NICU nurse has always been my life's dream, and I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on a good resource book I could purchase that I could read outside of work to get a greater understanding of being a NICU nurse? Or just any resource that you've found helpful in your career as a NICU nurse!
Thank you so much!

Hey, welcome to AN and to the NICU! This question is asked on a monthly basis at least. Try doing a search; many members have thoughtfully written up their suggestions. Also, it's okay to feel uncomfortable; we would be worried if you weren't! Best of luck in your new career!
