Specializes in ER straight out of nursing school.

I was just wondering if anyone uses a pocket PC or PDA while working.... I am a student and I was trying to justify the expense :p , which might be possible if I thought I would use it even after I graduate!

Thanks

ANNA--I posted a reply to your thread, but accidentally started a new thread....sorry:rolleyes: Sometimes my blondness comes through too well.

Nurse 0977

Hi Anna! I also live and work in KY. I have been a NICU nurse for 2 yrs. and only recently purchased a palm pilot (Sony Clie $180). I love it! I wish I had gotten one while I was still in nursing school. It would have helped so much. There are so many free programs that you can download to help you through out your nursing career no matter what field you decide to go into. There are also lots of programs that you can buy such as your drug books. It's much easier to look up what you want than have to carry those big drug books around. I purchased the Neofax (the drug book for the NICU) which I downloaded onto my palm and use it all the time. I carry it in my pocket, it's so much easier than hunting a book, no one ever puts them back where they go. There are also programs you can download to help in your personal life as well. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.

Good luck in school!

Athena
