Help! Home Care RN with NICU Interview

Specialties NICU

Published

Hi everyone! I graduated from nursing school in December and have been working as a home care nurse for mostly pediatric patients (age 2 and up) for the last 6 months. I recently got a call to interview for a position for NICU Nurse Residency position (AKA MY DREAM JOB!!!) Everything I have done in my nursing career thus far is leading up to this moment. As if I wasn't having enough anxiety already, I JUST dislocated my elbow and will be in a sling for the next 2-4 weeks! :( My interview is next week, so I cannot help but feel even more pressured to rock the socks out of this interview so they have no choice but to hire me after I heal! Does anyone have any tips, tricks, or words of wisdom to offer me? What sort of questions can I expect? What sort of questions should I expect? Should I be studying neonates (my only infant experience was from clinical rotations in peds)

And advice would be appreciated! This next week is going to feel like a lifetime of waiting... THANKS! :)
