NS LIJ ED Fellowship 2014

Hi all,

Does anyone know if Lenox Hill has the ED Fellowship each year, or is it only the Long Island based hospitals (i.e. Manhasset, New Hyde Park) that host it? If so, does anyone know around when it is posted?

I have been diligently checking the LIJ Careers site and was able to apply to the Manhasset location's fellowship program about a week ago, but haven't heard back yet.

I am a new graduate (as of Saturday) if this helps at all.

Hey, BeccaB as far as I know they only do the program in Manhasset, and New hyde Park I applied to both location also but I did receive a call from them yet keeping my fingers cross. I am also a new grad

Do they put up link and then take it down ? How often should I go on the website to apply? Or did you both call and apply plz help!

Yea, that is exactly what they do put it up for a couple of days and then take it down..it you call they just going to say to look on their site ( which is very little info)

Where do they post it? On the careers site like a job opening except it says fellowship?

The ED fellowship was up on May 15th for both Manhasset and New Hyde Park, which is when I applied to that. However, it's been over two months--during which time I've tried to make connections and network, but I haven't heard back. It says that it begins on July 2nd? There's currently a critical care fellowship which is up right now.

My friend applied and went though the first 2 interviews with HR and the nurse manager.....unfortunately she was not chosen and was told that the candidates were already chosen when she called to follow up.....i don't know if thats just the answer they gave her because she wasn't chosen and they were still looking or if they in fact have chosen the cohorts for the fellowship. I do know that it starts the 4th week in july. Hope this helps! And just keep looking they run the program 2-3 times a year.
