U.S.A. New York

I'm currently taking up LPN. I want to know what is the starting salary for LPN's in the NYC area. I would also like to know who pays more, hospitals or LTC. Also, does anyone know where I can work 16hours on the weekends and still get paid for 40hrs? Any information will be helpful. Thank You in Advance.:uhoh3:

Well, at my job they have LPN unit managers and they make $30 an hour...and the regular med nurses make $26 but thats out here in long island...and its a mulitcare center...my mom is an RN in texas and her and her employees work 2 16 hour shifts and get paid for 40 hours but thats the first I heard of that...Im an LPN student right now..but im pretty sure LTC pays more than Hospitals..but you can call around and check to make sure...just apply at a few places and dont be fast to jump on your first offer...I am a CNA at the present time and long term pays more in the CNA field...but my stepdad is an LPN and my mom is an RN and my mother had said that hospitals paid her less when she lived out here than the LTC...and LTC tends to hire more LPN than hospitals bc hospitals are more into RNs at the moment...Good luck
