New Grads how is your job search going?

Hello fellow nurses,

I'm a BSN grad and I recently passed my NCLEX. I'm currently on the job hunt like many of us and STRUGGLING! I don't have any clinical experience besides my school and my only job experience has been as a nanny for various families so I didn't add that on my resume. I only added all my hospital and community volunteer experience which I'm still currently doing. I know my experience is hurting my chances of getting a job but I'm still hanging on to hope :shy:

I have received no calls so far and the only thing I have received back was an email saying that they are keeping my resume on file which pretty much means they are not calling me back.

I Would love to hear how your job search is going? Please Share ;)

Not good I passed nclex in march and no job yet.

Kemifair, where have you applied? Do you apply in person, online, etc? Sending luck your way!

There is a lot of room for improvement. 19 months since licensed and still no luck yet.

I have applied online over and over. No response.

Sent out hundreds of applications to hospitals, drove all over to hand my résumé in, in person, no response. Put in one application to subacute rehab and got hired within a few weeks. Extend your search beyond hospitals, you'll gain experience and than you'll land the hospital job you want. It's better than sitting home not getting any nursing experience.
