From what I read on the ncc website, they place each student in either priority 1 or 2. Priority 1 are students with a gpa of 3.25 and above and anybody below a gpa of 3.25 is priority 2. A student then is given a score. Calculated by gpa multiplied by how many units u already have towars the nursing curriculum. So, for example u already had 30 units of the required liberal arts classes and your gpa is 3.5 then your score or points is 105. They calculate this for each student and they take from the highest in priority 1 until they fill the available seats. If they took everybody from priority 1 and still has seats available then they take the highest from priority 2 until all seats are filled.

Hope I didn't confuse you...good luck to all of us aspiring nurses =D

highest possible score in priority 1 with staright A's would be 124 with all liberal arts classes out of the way.

Ok. Thanks. I'm going to the information session on Wednesday. I hope they don't count all the courses I've taken into consideration because that lowers my chances.

KKING, all your grades will count except for the effective communication one. I had credits from another school and even though I finished 9 classes at NCC with a 4.0, my grades for prereqs taken at another school were added which lowered my gpa to 3.9.

All your grades look good except for sociology. You would probably have gotten in for day this year. I'm not positive about evening, but I know some of my classmates have Cs and got in. I think it depends on who your competition is.

Good luck with everything.
