Nassau Community College Fall 2012 Evening Program

U.S.A. New York

Hi everyone,

I know it's very late, but I just submitted my applications to both the NCC part-time evening program as well as the full-time day program. How long after you submitted your application did you hear back? Also, does anyone know if they'll transfer additional classes that have already been taken, or do they have to be taken with your classmates?

I am looking forward to speaking with others who are going to either of these programs! I haven't decided if I'm going to stop working and go full-time or if I'm going to go part-time in the evenings.

so the whole process took 1 hour? How long was the actual one on one interview? What questions did they ask on that interview?

Yes, I started at 9 and was done by 10. In the interview they just go over what you wrote in your paragraph answering the question. They go over the definitions you defined and they go over the classes you've taken and what you need to take. They make sure you understand all the requirements of the program and clinicals. Then she writes down on a paper a summary of what you discussed and you sign off agreeing to it and that's it! The prof I interviewed with didn't ask me anything about what I wrote down but some people were asked to elaborate on what they wrote. Others where asked "why do you want to be a nurse". The beginning lecture by the chairman of the program was the longest part. Your in a room with a bunch of people and then after you go thru all the paper work then they call you one by one to meet with the prof for the interview process. Honestly don't stress it! The stress will come in Sept!! I think we're all in the same orientation on 8/29 so hopefully we'll meet there :)

I honestly don't remember how long the one on one interview was, but it wasn't long. Maybe 5,10 min the most.

Curious to know how your interview went.

Thanks!! I just read the posts that you wrote below. You pretty much summed it up! It was a piece of cake, my instructor didn't ask me any questions. I'm in section T11. How about you?
