eh if lehman's anything like other cuny's which i think it is: cheap = super competitive. Aim for 4.0 with lowest 3.8 and hesi dunno what that is but aim for highest grade. Google up HESI nursing and see what its about. Apply also to community colleges with nursing RN. This way if you have options.

Hey! I actually just got accepted to the program at Lehman. It is super competitive , this year the minimum gpa for the generic program was only 3.5, but just because you have that does not guarentee a spot. You must also pass your hesi with at least 75 in each section out of 100(math a&p reading) i scored 88,88,90 respectively which isnt that great but i had a really good gpa 3.8. I know so many people that came out of the exam seriously bummmeed because they passed everything but the math. Dont underestimate the math portion just study the review guide and know your conversions you will be fine!!! I wish you the best of luck & hope this helped!

Thanks so much for your replies.

Cmorales23,

1.what study guide do you recommend?

2. For the English portion, is it ONLY reading?

3. Is the program a good one?

Thanks again and I wish you success on your journey.

1. The study guides that i recommend are the Mcgraw Hill Nursing School Entrance Exams and the Evolve Reach Hesi. These books were extremely helpful for me. Use the mcgraw hill for the a&p portion, i felt the evolve reach practice questions were way to specific. Don't forget you can't use a calculator so become comfortable solving mixed ratios, dividing, and converting numbers by hand.

2. Yes it is only reading and answering questions, it was pretty simple just boring.

3. I've heard it's really hard, but I think nursing in general is hard. I haven't started any classes yet because they start late August. However, I have heard that Lehman students have a high pass rate for the boards.

& thank you for wishing me luck, i think i will need it lol

Thanks Cmorales23.

Did you end up attending Lehman? I'm trying to find someone who went through their program, I just got accepted.
