I got accepted into Hunter as a transfer student as well. I got accepted last year but could not attend for medical reasons. If I do not get into the nursing program at the CC I am currently attending I will be going to Hunter. I heard the nursing program is tough but good.

How tough is it to get in???? DO you know?

I have heard that it is pretty tough. I was supposed to apply for the fall 06 semester but could not. If I do not get into the program at my current school I am planning to apply for the fall 07 semester at Hunter.

NurseTracy ., did you know that you have to be a student at Hunter before you can apply to the Nursing program?

Hi!

Yes, I was supposed to attend last year and declared my major as History but due to a medical emergency I was unable to attend. They said I can apply for readmission for this fall and when i am attending starting in September I will apply for the nursing program.

Good luck!

Hi, I'm graduating from Hunter's nursing program this June. It is pretty rigorous, but I don't feel it was too difficult. It's definitely a competitive program to get into, because you are competing against many good students. They accept about 80 students, I think. My class now has 70 or so. My GPA and NLN were both much higher than what you hear about as the minimum to get in. I'd say you need at least a 3.1 and 120+ on the NLN. Good luck!

I getting my ASN soon and my plan is to apply to Hunter as a transfer and take Statistics and some other required classes there in the spring and then apply for their RN-BSN program in the fall.

Has anybody done that?? Does anybody know if the GPA requirements are just as high for the RN-BSN program??

Any info would be appreciated. ;):p
