about the pre nursing exam

hello all. i have question about the pre-nursing exam. the subject areas on the test includes verbal, math, reading and also science. i have BA degree on business and i never study science classes before, even in high school.( i am studying in hong kong.) so i really want to know how hard is the exam?? if i buy the study guide for the exam, will it cover all the questions that shown on the exam?? and base on my presious education background, should i continue my dream for nursing , or just give up??

Is the test called NLN? There are some study books for it.

I took the NLN 2-3 years ago.

The science is pretty basic (I think, but I've been taking science classes since high school and also in college).

It's a mixture of many science subjects, there was even some physics.

But if u never take a science class, then I suggest a massive study and reviews.

The study guide cannot possibly cover ALL questions!

But remember there are other parts of the tests also.

You could give it a try. Do really good in Math and English part.

For myself, I didn't do so good in the English part, but made up for it with the other two (Math and Science).

So in my opinion, don't give up yet! Give it a try first!

You can do good and be on your way to become a nurse even if u do bad in one part.

Nursing School acceptance depends on more than just pre-nursing exam test.

There are also your GPAs, Essays, interview, etc...

Don't give up your dreams.

Do every practice question and exam in the study guide. You will be pleasantly surprised how the book covers everything that is on the test. I took the NLN two years and scored very high, all thanks to the

For me the test was hard, but if you're willing to put in the effort to study, I think you'll be fine. Like you, I also am switching fields. I was studying music & theatre production before. Asides from taking A&P I, I hadn't taken a science course in about 6 years when I was in high school. The study guide really does give you a pretty good overview of what to expect for each section with subjects reviews, as well as, the practice tests. If you're still worried about a particular area, I would recommend getting like a Cliff Notes review for that particular subject. Good luck and don't give up hope!

I've been studying the RN Pre-Entrance Exam review book by Mary McDonald and while I'm getting all the math questions right, they take longer than I want. My question is, if you do poorly in a given subject, will the other parts compensate? I know this question was partially addresssed in other questions, but I need a concrete answer so I can stop studying the most rigorous areas of math and start on brushing up on science and even english.
