I am a Respiratory Therapist planning on starting work next week in New Mexico and I don't know if I will have my License to practice in your state in time. But is it possible to work under the Medical Director's license with my current state lic. until I obtain the New Mexico lic? My recruiter is very eager to put me to work next week in Albuquerque but I fear with the July 4th holiday, I may not recieve my license in the 2-3 days they say it will take? And the department I will be working for is eager to get me there..........So.....Any experience with this sort of dilemia? I have been a Respiratory Therapist for over 20 years( I started Very YOUNG!!!) and have no complaints or problems with my State.
Thanks in Advance.Last edit by cartkr66 on Jun 30, '05 : Reason: to better explain

Looks like that's not an option according to this...you need to have a license issued in order to practice.

Can you call the board at the number at the bottom of this page to see if your license has actually been issued?
